Not sure. Seems like she really misled with that one, used some young


woman's horrific story for political gain.

If she said she once met a young woman who told her a terrible story about her childhood in Mexico several years ago that might offer a cautionary tale re: immigration today, that would be fine. But that also doesn't quite strike the same chord as what she said, does it?. But that's the actual story.

I don't love all the post speech "gotcha" activity, but this one is pretty bad. Totally disingenuous (as one might expect), meant to frighten. Maybe Ms. Britt could follow through on doing something about the border. Wasn't she involved with the initial bipartisan effort a few weeks ago? Where the GOP negotiated the bill it wanted then walked away because its members care more about Donald Trump than Americans?
